What are "Priority" drivers?
The "Priority" section identifies the drivers likely to have the most significant impact on your Engagement (an outcome metric). In other words, by focusing on improving the scores in these drivers you are more likely to positively improve your Engagement score.
How are Priority drivers determined?
Priority Drivers are determined using a statistical technique called correlation analysis. We analyze how your people responded to the Engagement questions (outcome measure) and compare that to how they responded to all the driver questions.
How? We look at people who responded most positively to our Engagement questions and identify which drivers they also responded most positively to. At the same time, we look at the people who responded most negatively to our Engagement questions and which drivers they responded most negatively to. We then pull the insights from these analyses together to determine the top drivers that have the most significant impact on engagement levels.
How do we use Priority driver analysis?
The purpose of the priority driver analysis is to help you strategically identify driver(s) to focus your action plan. It creates an additional dimension for you to see results beyond just high and low scores, but also how important or impactful specific drivers are to improving your engagement scores.
All too often, we see companies relying on “best practices” to drive their action plan. Although this can be helpful, we also know that every company is different. What is impactful for one company may not be as important for yours. Priority analysis shows you what is important to focus on for your company.
Lets put this into action: Identifying Strengths and Opportunities for Improvement
Priority driver analysis is a great way to identify your Strengths and Opportunities for Improvement.
Strengths are priority drivers that have a high score in comparison to your other drivers and/or industry benchmark. They represent drivers that are key to high engagement for you and that you’re already doing well in. Keep up the great work!
Opportunities for Improvement are priority drivers that have a low score in comparison to other drivers and/or industry benchmark. These are drivers that are key to improving your Engagement score, but you’re currently not doing so well in them. Focus your action plan on these drivers to optimize the positive impact on your Engagement outcome.
Why don't I see any Priority Drivers showing?
In some instances, you may not see any Priority Driver on your dashboard. This is normal and means that the factors applied in the calculation to determine priority drivers have not been met. Most often, this happens at the beginning when you're getting started using the Perked! platform because there is not enough data points to determine statistically significant impact from each driver to engagement.
